Today, the members of the health sector in Al Zubair district, west of Basra, enter in a labour strike to ask for a number of demands regarding the health insurance, the recognition of diplomas, the danger they face in their sector, as well as, the provision of housing and lands.
Yesterday, the workers of the Gaza Strip also carried out a partial strike to ask for the abovementioned demands. They organized a protest in front of Al-Ansar Primary Health Care Center with the participation of all the 18 health centres in Al Zubair district, in preparation for the general strike of today by the health coordinators throughout the country.
