Iraq: The health department workers in Najaf raise their demands and warn of the escalation in protests

Hundreds of employees from the health department of Najaf gathered in front of the headquarters of the department on the morning of February 19 to ask for their legitimate rights, including the unfair raise in housing, the distribution of land plots and the increase in the risk premium by 100%, taking into consideration their diplomas.

They also raised banners to ask for the enactment of the health insurance law for employees and their families and the emphasis on expanding the admission to higher studies.

The protesters threatened to take escalatory protest steps if the authorities continued to be reluctant to meet their legitimate rights.
