Egypt: Strike in the Arab Aluminum Company in Ismailia

Dozens of workers and employees of the Arab Aluminum company in Ismailia launched a strike on Monday to protest against the deterioration of the health services and health insurance, as well as, the administration's non-meeting of their demands to improve the health services and participate in the fees of the medical surgeries of the company's employees.

In fact, more than 350 workers, employees and engineers stopped working at the company's headquarters in Ismailia-Cairo Road, in Ezz El Din, near the main industrial zone.

The workers said in media statements that they have not received any bonuses for two years and suffer from difficult conditions, asking for the intervention of the Ministry of Manpower to make the administration meet their demands, the most important of which is to improve the health conditions of the company's employees and force the company to pay the medical treatment of any worker, according to the Labour Law.
