The Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jamil Hmaidan, affirmed that the Ministry's first priorities for the next stage are finding suitable and decent job opportunities for job seekers.
He pointed out in a statement to the newspaper "Al Ayyam" that the proportion of the “Bahrainization " of jobs in the construction sector is the least in general, but it is high in the rest of the sectors, and vary according to the activity of the institution and the nature of its work.
He also pointed out that there are many companies and institutions that have achieved a high rate of “Bahrainization ", which is beyond the one binding by the system.
Hmaidan stressed that "there is no leniency in supporting the Bahraini citizens to obtain the suitable employment opportunities, taking into account the importance of attracting investments and strengthening the field of business to create more promising opportunities and support for the businessmen to obtain a strong and competitive work environment."
Moreover, he said that the ministry is working in coordination with Tamkeen for the training of the unemployed people and qualify them to be the first to be recruited by the employers by providing them with the necessary skills, to integrate into the labour market with high efficiency.
The minister explained that the ministry has a program in cooperation with Tamkeen to boost wages and training, so that the Bahraini citizens are the best in terms of cost and efficiency by acquiring the required qualifications and skills.
