A strike in the largest seaport in Algeria

The Algiers port workers launched a strike, yesterday, that led to a near-total halt of work, at the Algeria's largest seaport.

This strike affected all the interests and caused a near-total cessation of the unloading and shipping of goods, prompting the administration of the port to send the officials to start negotiations.

The workers were forced to carry out their protest movement because of the administration's reluctance to negotiation the professional and social situation of workers.
