Yesterday, an agreement was reached to end the crisis of the secondary education crisis, following the sectoral administrative body’s acceptance of the new government proposals.
The agreement stipulated the amendment of the controversial issues related to retirement and the approval of the "continuation" grant, which will be enjoyed by managers and principals starting from the next academic school year.
A 20% increase was also reached for the budgets of all the middle schools and secondary schools.
The secondary education sector has been witnessing a severe crisis between the General Secondary Education Federation and the Ministry of Education for months, during which the teachers boycotted the examinations as a protest movement against the ministry's continued intransigence and non-meeting of the professional, social and pedagogical demands.
