The authorities give no response about the cut of salaries for a number of the martyrs' families in the Gaza Strip

The head of the martyrs’ families and wounded organization in the Palestine Liberation Organization, Intisar Al-Wazir, said that the Ministry of Finance refuses to answer us to find out why did they cut the salaries of a number of the martyrs' families, in the Gaza Strip.

According to” Donia Al-Watan" website, the organization tried to communicate with more than one official from the Ministry of Finance, without any responses so far, as most of their mobile phones were closed, and there is no information on the number of the martyrs' families, who have not received their salaries so far.

In the same context, stated the head of the public officials, Aref Abu Jarad "We do not have the exact number of employees whose salaries have been cut. The numbers are increasing. We have so far reached almost 560 names of 2005 employees, prisoners, wounded and public officials. In fact, we can obtain the exact number from the insurance and pensions after the date of 12 February.

It is expected that a trade union program will be implemented with the national activists, in cooperation with the Palestinian factions, where the program will be announced at a press conference.

” Donia Al-Watan" website revealed that some got 50% of their salaries in 2005, while some others received full salaries, in addition to the injured. On the other hand, the Civil servants received 75% and military retirees 70% as usual, and the civilians who retired financially, received 50% of their salaries.

Rami Abu Karash, the spokesman for 2005’ sessions, told” Donia Al-Watan" that 120 employees’ salaries were cut off from the 2005’ sessions. We contacted the finance and the concerned authorities in Ramallah about the reason for the salaries cut and the percentages paid, all of them had the same answer “I don’t know”.
