The Saudi general institution for social insurance decided to allow double insurance, in case the workers’ total wage for those who work for more than one employer does not exceed 45 000 riyals (12 thousand dollars). Thus, this worker can subscribe to only one insurance for the total wages paid by the employers.
According to the local media, the institution asserted that the participants have the right to move from one system to another more than once. This does not prevent them from benefiting from requesting an insurance. Thus, the considered system is of the new work they returned to.
In its recent instructions, the institution pointed out that if the worker is working with two employers at the same time, each employer has to pay the worker's due and then he is entitled to a pension on the basis of the total he or she received from the employer.
The institution confirmed that it has previously proved that the employer deducts the insurance fees from the wages of workers, thus, he or she becomes subscribed once they have the system’s required conditions.
If any of the workers has not met the conditions, the employer is notified of his refusal in the insurance system, and that the employer must return the workers' compensation to them, warning against tampering with the insurance models.
