The arrival of the Egyptian workers returning from Libya to their country after being held for 21 days

The Egyptian workers, who were detained in the Libyan city, Tobruk, returned home in the village of “Al-Harda” of “Metoubas” in “Kafr El-Sheikh” district in after being held for 21 days by a Libyan businessman who was tricked by an Egyptian fraudulent.

The workers expressed satisfaction for returning home, stressing that the Egyptian authorities in "Salloum Port " of "Matrouh" province, ended their exit procedures.

It is noted that the workers between the ages of 17 and 35 have arrived at the “Salloum Port” a week ago by a counterterrorism vehicle of the Counterterrorism Department in “Tobruk” after their illegal entry to the country.

The workers’ families confirmed that a Libyan businessman detained their children in “Tobruk” to pressure their Egyptian employer to pay him 125 000 Libyan dinars after his return to Egypt and his refusing to pay him the money. Thus, the businessman detained the workers until he was paid.

The Police summoned the accused Egyptian contractor of fraud, Salama Abdelhamid Al-Falah, 28 years old. In fact, he accused the Libyan businessman who wanted to pay him 18 000 Libyan dinars and forced him to sign blank checks because he wanted to monopolize him, and when he refused his blackmail, he lied and did all that. He told them that he had to flee to his homeland, and denied all the charges against him, but the police referred him to the prosecution and the investigations are still underway.
