The Medical Syndicate Council held a meeting to discuss the issues related to a decision regarding the Medical and Health Protection, and Safety Law, signed in 2018.
The Medical Council decided to reject the safety law in its current form, in which many articles were deleted without the union’s agreement, stressing that it will take all the escalatory measures to defend the medical profession.
It called on freezing the implementation of this law until reaching a fair compromise formula, as in its current form the law harms the citizen above all, stressing its refusal to register all doctors in the social security institution and its stand with the popular movement to struggle for their demands.
It is noteworthy that he doctors suspended the work on Sunday for two hours in all the health sectors, including hospitals, institutions, private and public clinics, except for emergencies, delivery, dialysis and cancer patients.
