About 38% of the public servants in Egypt will retire during the next 10 years

The Egyptian Prime Minister, “Mustapha Madbouli”, confirmed that 38% of the government employees will be referred to pension within the next 10 years, stressing in media statements that the government will not replace these employees in the usual way, but it will give job opportunities to the employees who just deserve it, in the coming period.

The observers say that the Egyptian state is not only seeking to recruit more employees, but "it is looking for efficiency and for employees who would push the economy forward." Moreover, the government is currently studying several proposals aimed at improving the government work in all the sectors of the state in the coming period, most notably the draft law on the number of working days.
