The workers of the COTUFA for medicines company, located in “Wadi El-Lil”, Manouba province, carried out a strike on November 2 and a protest against the arrest of four unionists and their referral to the disciplinary board on malicious, fake charges.
The Executive Office of the Regional Labor Union in Manouba issued a telegram to alert the strike and called on the administrative party to have a serious and responsible dialogue, but the administration did not respond and insisted on its arbitrary procedures.
The workers gathered at a protest rally, raising slogans condemning the violation of the trade union and workers’ rights, under the supervision of the main union, the Regional Labor Union in Manouba and the General Federation of Health.
