Thousands of substitute teachers, who have been hired through the digital field have not been paid for more than six months because of the lack of financial recourses, some of them have not received salaries for more than two years.
Some of the substitute teachers were forced to leave their work because of the delay in receiving their monthly salaries, especially women, who had been recruited outside their home provinces, where poor social conditions forced them to give up on their jobs.
The National Independent Union of Workers for Education and Training confirmed that the process of completing the appointments of the concerned people did not meet the legal requirements in force. In fact, the files of thousands of " substitutes” remained unresolved, although they were immediately summoned by the directorates of education.
The members of the union described the non-payment of the teaches salaries for more than six months as a “crime” , calling on the Ministry of Education through the media to focus on the need to work on the dates of programming of foreign recruitment competitions to February or March, where all the technical tools should be ready in September (each new school year thus, the new staff member finds their position ready and can receive their salaries from the first month of their appointment).
