Because of their establishment of union offices: the expulsion of workers from "Sophia" sewing and "Delphi" for the manufacture of metal wires in Morocco

The Moroccan city of Tangier witnessed the expulsion of members of two trade unions of the Democratic Confederation of Labor immediately after its establishment.

In fact, the union office of the “Sophia” sewing company was established on 28 September 2018 and expelled on 10 October 2018, while in "Delph1" company for the manufacture of metal wires, it was established on 9 September 2018 and expelled on 8 November.

The two companies witnessed tightening restrictions on practicing their union work before their arbitrary expulsion.

“Delphi” has justified its expulsion of the union workers on charges of "offending the institution's reputation" through the social media, which it considered as a serious mistake that requires their dismissal.

Following this arbitrary decision by both companies, the Democratic Confederation of Labor organized several protests, in front of the headquarters of the two companies. Moreover, it is supposed to hold a meeting with the concerned parties at the headquarters of the union in Tangier, yesterday with the organizations of a solidarity convoy by unions affiliated with the International Federation of Industries.
