According to labor sources, the management of the Lagoon hotel and resort in the Dead Sea decided to close the resort, last Thursday, after the layoff of 170 employees.
According to the sources, the closure of the hotel came after a series of strikes carried out by a number of the hotel shareholders because of the accumulation of debts, which amounted to about 20 million dinars in the "Share Time" operations.
The sources revealed that workers from the resort had not received their salaries for nine months because of the poor financial conditions of the resort.
