Since the last week, the protests in Gafsa governorate resulted in the halt of all the activities of the Phosphate Gafsa company in the extraction and production of phosphate and its transfer, following the announcement of the competition results of the interview of the recruitment of workers for the Environment, Planting and Horticulture company, last Saturday.
Following the announcement of the results of the corresponding environmental companies in Gafsa, many protests were carried out by a number of job seekers who failed in this test, in "Mdhila" and other mining cities, like "Metlaoui" and "Redaif" and "Om Al- Arais," who accused the supervisory authorities of their lack of transparency and integrity in the results of the recruitment test.
According to eyewitnesses in "Mdhila", these protestors prevent the buses transporting the workers’ of Phosphate Gafsa company to their work sites.
It is noteworthy that the production capacity of the Gafsa phosphate in "Mdhila” ranges between 20 and 25 percent of the total energy produced for commercial phosphates.
