Today, the sugar cane workers in Haft Tepe enter in their 24th day of strike and their 16th day of protest in the city of Shush.
In fact, the workers protest against the arrest of their colleagues and ask for their release, affirming their defense of the government sector.
On Friday, despite the heavy rains, the Haft Tepe sugar cane workers continued to gather on their 19th day of strike in the “Maalam” yard in the city of Shush. Moreover, a group of Haft Tepe sugar cane workers protested at the Friday prayer site in Shush, raising slogans and papers written on them: “Release the imprisoned workers”.
The workers' strike at the Haft Tepe for sugarcane was supported by a group of “Tehranese”, “Damavand” children and workers, a group of workers and families from “Sanandaj” and truck owners in “Sirjan”. Moreover, it was supported by truck drivers in Tehran, Isfahan, Zahedan, Bandar Abbas and Azerbaijan who have announced their support for the Haft Tepe sugar cane workers, as well as, steel workers in Ahwaz.
