The workers of the production chains of the industrial unit in the Nestlé Morocco group, in Al-Jadida city held a protest outside the company's social and administrative headquarters in “Casa Nerchur”, last Friday.
The workers confirmed that the management of the Swiss company, which is based in Morocco refuses to listen to the demands of the trade union representatives, which are: improving the working conditions and meeting the requirement to allocate a housing grant.
The company’s union of the Moroccan Workers’ Union confirmed that the administration has totally refused to deal with the trade union demands’ file since 2016, which includes a set of legitimate points aimed at improving the legal status of workers and enabling them to receive their legitimate compensation for housing.
It is noteworthy that the workers had held a series of meetings with representatives of the company's management and human resources officials, with the presence of representatives of the local authorities in Al-Jadida governorate, during which Nestlé Morocco's administration committed itself to the activation of some points related on the development of the workers' professional track, however, these promises were in vain.
The Nestlé Morocco labor union accused the human resources management of the company of being full responsible for the escalation in the relationship between the two parties, highlighting that the workers wil continue to enter further strikes until all their financial and social demands are met.
