The Libyan capital is under bombardment and families are trying to escape.

The Libyan capital Tripoli is witnessing violent clashes since last Sunday, amid the growing fears of the residents of the worsening of the situation on the outskirts of the city and in the center of the capital at any moment, following this ‘civil war’ between the "Seventh Brigade" and "Al-Kanyat" on the one hand, “Tripoli rebels "and “Nawasi ".

“Alwasat”, a Libyan website, said that a military aircraft bombed the "Seventh Brigade" on the road between the areas of " Wadi Al-Rabiaa" and "Ben Ghashir” palace. Moreover, some witnesses said that they heard the sound of shells in the area of "Khallet Al-Forjan". The spokesman of the Central Security Forces of "Abu Salim" gang, “Mohannad Mammar”, confirmed in a statement to “Alwasat” that the neighborhoods in Tripoli are under” heavy shelling by Al-Kani” militia," referring to "the unusual displacement in the area of “Salah Al-Din”.

Medical sources announced that only one medical center received 41 dead and 126 wounded. The ambulance and emergency service said that the local hospital in “Salah Al-Din” received this number of civilians and military personnel, as victims of the clashes in the suburbs of "Tripoli" south and east.

Eyewitnesses talked about the displacement of families from this area, adding that the ongoing fighting for several days caused human and material damage, and that the populated areas are subjected to indiscriminate shelling.

In the same context, the Libyan Airlines announced the closure of the Mitiga International Airport in the capital, Tripoli, after the launching of a number of missiles to it, and the Department of Aviation changed the route of flights to the airport of “Misurata", 190 km east of the capital, without mentioning more details.

Three shells landed near the Mitiga International Airport, the only active Libyan airport in the Libyan capital, forcing the airport authorities to suspend the flights for at least 48 hours for security reasons.

Following these incidents, a truce was announced on Friday, but the attacks continued on Saturday, raising fears from the possible bloody confrontations.
