“Akhbar-Alkhaleej” newspaper confirmed that the Minister of Labor was able to end the strike of about 1800 workers in one of the contracting companies because of the delay of their salaries for the third month in a row, due to financial crisis witnessed by the company.
An agreement has been reached between the ministry and the company's management to limit the problem by transferring about 300 thousand dinars to the bank accounts of the employees of the company, which are the salaries of May only, and that the payment of the salary of June and July will be within two weeks.
The newspaper said that the company is currently building a 50-storey tower of one of the Gulf investors in the diplomatic area. The delay in the transfer of payments to the company by the investor led to the suspension of the employees’ salaries since last May. It also confirmed quoting from other sources in the company that the transfer of 3 million dinars to the company will take place, during the next two weeks, which will accelerate the disbursement of the employees’ salaries, thus, the end of the crisis definitively.
