The Islamic Courts’ workers in Jordan canceled their strike, which was expected to take place on Sunday, following an agreement between them and the judges.
The chief of judges’ department said in a statement that the workers expressed their understanding of the procedures and steps taken and confirmed their commitment to their functions and the normal return to their services, dealing with the citizens’ issues, noting that it has paid all the financial dues with the monthly salaries, in accordance with the social security for the settling of pensions.
The department also confirmed the existence of a consensus to study all the relevant issues and follow up their implementation, as soon as possible and through a well-planned plan, which was developed and studied by a number of employees in the Islamic courts.
It is noteworthy that the court's agents are asking in particular for the improvement their salaries and the implementation of a fair renumeration system, in addition to the separation of the administrative body from the judiciary and the increase of the Takaful Fund. Moreover, they are asking for the provision of a housing grant for those who live outside the provinces and the amendment of the health insurance and the creation of savings fund, as well as, other professional and social demands.
