The journal stated that the Palestinian authority, leaders and officials can ask for the intervention of the international community and the Arab states to stop this American step aimed at shutting the Palestinian national movement and the removal of the major files from the Palestinian-Israeli negotiating table, including “Al-Quds” and the “right of return”, which means ending the political settlement between the two parties, as well as, ending the Palestinian dream.
It is noteworthy that the UNRWA employees have been in strike for about a month after the receiving of about 120 letters from the Gaza Regional Office, announcing their dismissal and the end of their contracts at the end of August, in addition to similar letters to about 800 others, ending their contracts at the end of the current year. This led to the outrage of the UNRWA staff, especially as the dismissal decisions affected staff members who worked in the agency for more than 18 years.
