The Association of Pilots, the representative of the Moroccan pilots, canceled the partial strike it called for since July 18, following an agreement signed last week with the Moroccan Airlines.
During their strike, the pilots asked for the improvement of their salaries, which have not changed for 10 years, and their compensation in case of the cancellation of some flights due urgent circumstances, as well as, annual compensations and other social demands.
The partial strike, carried out by the pilots, resulted in the cancellation of more than 200 international and domestic flights, and the change in the schedule of hundreds of them.
The financial losses of the Moroccan Airlines during the strike were estimated at 410 million dirhams ($ 42.5 million) until last Sunday, and the number of passengers who were directly affected by the repeated airline cancellations was 36 000, i.e. 53 percent had to cancel their bookings.
