The Moroccan contractual professors: protest on 29 and 30 August to ask for their integration

The National Federation of Education affiliated with the Moroccan Workers’ Union decided to support the struggles of the professors who had been forced to work as contractual until their integration and to overcome the legal and juridical gaps imposed on this group entrusted with the promotion of the public school. Moreover, it announced the launching of protest movements on 29 and 30 August in defense of the right to integration.

The National Federation of Education called in its statement for the opening of a serious and responsible dialogue that would overcome the existing imbalances and puts an end to this congestion, as this would settle the issue of contractual workers and contribute to their integration in the public sector.

In fact, the educational sector is witnessing recently some developments, which are characterized by the Ministry of Education’s individual urgent and hasty decisions, especially with regard to the integration of workers, paralyzing the role of the regional centers of education and training, and trying to pass the basic regulations for the regional academies of education and training.

The federation renewed its rejection of the integration of workers as a solution to the crisis of the educational system, and announced its refusal to pass the basic regulations for the regional academies of education and training without the consultation of the representatives of the educational family.
