The land transport workers in Lebanon carried out a general strike on Wednesday to ask for the approval of the transport plan and stop the falsification of public license plates in addition to reducing the competition of foreign labor force.
The protest was interrupted by strikes and vigils in a number of areas. Moreover, the mechanical inspection centers closed in all the Lebanese territory from 6 am to 12 noon.
The workers of the sector are ready to take all the escalating protests’ moves, in case the authorities did not react positively with their demands.
