The Tunisian General Union of Metal and Electronics of the UGTT decided to end the strike that was launched by the SIDENOR steel factory’s workers, in the industrial zone of “Bir Masharaqa” in Zaghouan governorate, for more than a week, following the new signed agreement with the administrative party.
The union of metals announced on Wednesday in media statements that it was decided to end the strike and resume the work and return of all the expelled employees, including members of the union, in addition to addressing all the issues raised by the administration against a number of employees.
It was also decided to hold a meeting within 15 days to consider the workers' demands related to the revision of the maximum of the production grant, the work system, promotion and classification, with the presence of the general administration of the institution to appoint a human resources cadre.
