In the port of Nouakchott last Wednesday, the transporters launched a general strike to protest against their poor professional and social conditions.
The Free Confederation of Mauritanian Workers admitted being the source of the strike and considered that workers were victims of wrong decisions and policies.
The transporters’ protest is another organized protest movement, which came in protest against the working conditions and compensation policy that they benefit from, where the employees are suffering for years.
