The Grand Criminal Court ordered a company specialized in oil exploration to pay BD 627 thousand to 27 workers with an interest of 6% per year of the wage which was delayed by 6 months. This percentage increases by 1% for every month of delay and does not exceed 12% per year of this wage; because of the company’s non-payment of their salaries for a full year.
The local media stated that the company has stopped paying its workers since March 2015 until May 2016, prompting them to file suits to the labor case management, asking for the payment of their wages and for compensations for the delay in the payment of their wages.
