The trade union sources of the National Cement Company confirmed that the crisis of the company is still continuing and that the injustice imposed on the workers is still ongoing.
The sources revealed in media statements that the workers' representatives in the board of directors of the company rejected what was presented during the last meeting of the Minister of Business Sector, the Board of Directors of the Holding Company and the National Cement Company on raising the incentive from 75% to 125%, and insisted on obtaining 390%.
In an earlier e-newsletter, we confirmed that the workers had entered in previous protests to ask for the activation of the closed production lines by a decision from the General Assembly of the Holding Company for Chemical Industries in late November, in light of the reports about the efforts of many parties to weaken this public institution to bankruptcy and disrupt its production, so as to sell it later.
