The employees and workers in the trade sector asked for the revision of their wage structure and the establishment of a fair minimum wage, stressing on the importance of including special and social allowances to their basic wages on a regular basis.
These demands were raised during a trade union meeting on Saturday, in which it was also called for the need to amend the regulations of the public business companies’ work regulations, which have been in force for more than 23 years, with the issuance of Law No. 203 of 91, in addition to the need to implement the separation of the ownership from the administration and the non-intervention of the holding companies in the business of the subsidiaries, where the responsibles for those subsidiaries should be held accountable only at the end of the year.
