Workers at Dar Al-Dawa company (national medicine company) continue their open strike to stop the work they started last week, in light of the refusal of the factory’s administration to talk with workers and union representatives.
The labor sources confirmed that the administration stepped up its intransigence and took measures, in violation of the law, as it announced the suspension of work to close the door of dialogue with trade union committees and workers.
They pointed out that the factory's management is still preventing workers from entering the buildings while the security forces are still surrounding the place.
The workers confirmed the continuation of their protest movement until their demands are met, in light of the suspicious silence of the Ministry of Labor and its non-interference so far.
In fact, more than 600 workers are asking for pay increases, which they have been deprived of for five years. In addition, they are calling for a follow-up on the issue of the savings fund.
