The continuation of strikes in the Isfahan bazaar in Iran

The social tension in Iran continues because of the unprecedented economic deterioration and high prices.

The bazaar traders entered in a general strike and closed their main markets in Tehran and the subsidiaries as well in the different Iranian provinces. The protests that took place in Isfahan started on Tuesday to protest against the deteriorating economic conditions and the collapse of the local currency, where truck and transport vehicles ‘drivers participated in the protests, in addition to the participation of a large number of citizens, according to some Iranian activists in the social networks.

Iranian on the social networks covered the protests, through the circulation of videos, showing hundreds of people protesting from “Shapur” in Isfahan. Another protest took place in the industrial zone in Isfahan “Amir Kabir”, where hundreds of people chanted "the death for the dictator” from a video posted by “Manoto Tv”, which speaks in Persian and broadcasted from London.

Activists posted videos and photographs showing the presence of large numbers of police and internal security forces encircling the streets of the Tehran bazaar to prevent the protests, as it happened several weeks ago.
