The workers' protests of "SAMIR" Refinery continue against the negative attitude of the Moroccan government

The workers of "SAMIR" Refinery continue to protest against the negative attitude of the Moroccan government against the continuous disruption of production at “Al-Mohammedia” refinery, since 2015, as it has just kept watching and doing nothing, according to the statements of the trade union front in support of the workers of the refinery.

The trade union front of the "SAMIR” company, which is composed of a number of unions, contacted the Prime Minister again, and informed him of its protest and demands for the resumption of the production at the Moroccan oil refinery.

The trade union front believes that the proof of the obstacles facing judicial forfeit requires clarification from the general policy of the Moroccan state in encouraging investment in the petroleum refining industries, not only by watching the declining of such big project, facing the unknown fate and evading from its responsibility by throwing it to the judicial brunch.

work, it renews its demand to resume the refinery’s work, as soon as possible by turning the debts into the capital, or free liquidation, waiting for the lifting of the difficulties, which face the judicial forfeit, according to the text of the correspondence.

The Moroccan trade union front said that the Moroccan government is required to ease the conditions for the resumption of production at “the Mohammedia” refinery, before it is too late, considering it as the only option to save the interests of the Moroccan state and the rights of creditors and earnings of the wage earners.
