An armed gang kidnapped a nurse and burned her alive before throwing her on the road last Wednesday in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa.
A medical source pointed out that the nurse "Lamis Abd al-Raqib Balit", a displaced woman from the province of "Taiz", died in hospital from injuries by beating and burning by unknown gunmen.
The family of the victim also reported that the nurse was forced to work in a medical clinic in “Al-Sinayna”, on the 60th Street due to her harsh conditions after leaving “Taiz”. However, she was kidnapped by armed men a few days before returning from work to her family's home.
On the other hand, eyewitnesses reported that they tried to rescue the nurse and catch up with the car of the kidnappers, but the gunmen of the gang threatened them with firearms and told them not to interfere and that the nurse was “one of our relatives".
The gunmen took the nurse out of the car in” Al-Syesi” neighborhood after they poured gasoline on her and set fire to her body in the middle of the public street and then they fled.
