Late financial dues for more than 500 employees in the “Dawakom” pharmacies chain in Jordan

More than 500 employees in the “Dawakom” pharmacies chain in Jordan complain about the non-payment of their financial dues for months.

Trade union sources reported that the Pharmacists Syndicate called on the concerned authorities in the ministries of labour and health to stop any professional transactions related to the institution until the payment of all the financial dues, which amounted to about half a million.

On the other hand, the union summoned the administration of the chain and talked with them about the need to find solutions and to pay the workers’ financial dues, including salaries and entitlements of pharmacists and workers, which the administration pledged to do. In fact, the employees were given a small part of their rights, but the payment is still uncompleted.

The union also suggested to the chain administration, to pay the salaries and rights of the employees in return for guarantees to pay the amount in installments agreed upon.
