Dozens of drivers in the Sebennytos public station, in Gharbia Governorate launched a strike on Tuesday, and refused to load passengers in Mansoura and Tanta lines; in opposition to the new tariff rate approved by the of the administration of parking and traffic inspectors after the recent increase in the fuel prices, asking for the raise in the fare because it does not fit with the last increases.
Trade union sources confirmed that the authorities had prepared a memorandum for the incident that included the names of the protesting drivers with their car numbers.
