The war in Yemen: The transfer of 2 million children to workers, 4.5 million are deprived of education and the exploitation of 1500 schools as barracks and prisons

The Yemeni news agency quoted the Minister of Social Affairs revealing the existence of 2 million child labours because of the war in Yemen, including 20000 children recruited by the Houthi militias in a flagrant violation of the international conventions and laws on the protection of children.

Statistics indicate that the war also deprived more than 4.5 million children of education, including one million and 600 thousand children who have been deprived of access to school in the past two years after the destruction and bombing of 2372 schools and the use of more than 1500 schools as barracks and prisons.
