In a brave step: The working Moroccan women decide to file cases against their harassers in the Spanish courts

A group of working Moroccan women in the strawberry fields of Spain decided to file cases against their harassers in the Spanish courts.

Three workers filed legal complaints of sexual harassment during work, while another worker complained of sexual assault.

The Spanish lawyer, "Blaine Luccane,”, the representative of the workers in the Spanish media, approved on the decision of the workers in the strawberry fields, in the region of Andalusia, in southern Spain and the lifting of judicial complaints, noting that "Ten women filed complaints relating to the conditions of their work, including three of them who complained also of sexual harassment during work, and another one confirmed her exposure to an attempted rape.

The local authorities in the Huelva region confirmed the receipt of five complaints from the working Moroccan women, “one of which concerned of the working conditions, three on sexual harassment and one about sexual assault”. A Spanish man was accused.
