Mauritania- Future Engineers Association called the parliament to support their demands creating jobs for the unemployed engineers.
They stressed, in a protest carried by a group of unemployed engineers in front of the parliament, the need for a clear strategy that works on employing engineers and reducing the number of the ones unemployed, and to adopt curricula for training and rehabilitation in order to encourage innovation and creativity.
The Association drew attention to the fact that despite the huge numbers of annually retired engineers, there is still no one to be hired to fill in these positions.
