Egypt – Workers of the Fayoum sugar factory suspended their strike for a week. Workers protested against the National Road Company as they have been collection so much money from the factory. Following the negotiations between the factory management and one of the officials of the National Roads Company, the workers announced the suspension of the strike, where it was agreed to approve the amount of thirty thousand pounds a day only until a meeting between representatives of the sugar factory and beet farmers. The workers agreed to suspend the strike, which they started last Thursday, in protest against the presence of employees of the National Roads Company inside the factory to collect the balance fees on cars entering and leaving it after the complaints of beets farmers because this practice damaged the crop as they were not able to store it or they were not able harvest the crop on time, according to workers.
