Palestine: Workers injured in a racist attack

Palestine – Arab workers from the village of Aara were attacked, threatened with murder and an attempt of running them over based on a pure racist background near Ovakim in the Negev region, by a Jewish extremist, resulting in various injuries, as workers were taken to the hospital Soroka in Beersheba.

Arab workers were first subjected to insults in racist terms, where it developed into an assault and threat of death, as it came to the aggressor to try to run them over while performing their work in the Negev.

One of the workers, who was present at the time of the attack, was Muhannad Darwish, from Ara village. We were working on repairing the streets in the Ovakim area, until we reached the house of the accused or the house of the aggressor. The engineer in charge, then objected to the aggressor and went out carrying a knife and began to threaten us, and asked to remove the bumps in front of his house, but we did not agree to his request because we violate the law and the orders of the engineer in charge”.
