Lebanon – The Executive Council of the Bank Employees Union called on the members of the parliament to speed up the approval of the series of the ranks and scale of salaries, as it has been postponed for more than four years. The union refused to impose any taxes on the Lebanese under the pretext of financing the chain, which can be financed by stopping the waste and control public spending.
The Council, expressed in a statement its support for the new leadership of the General Labour Union, hoping that the Bureau would invite the trade unions to a special forum to discuss the life and living conditions and determine the plan of action of the Union for the next stage.
The Council called on the banks management to implement all the provisions of the collective contract, especially the length of work and the administrative increase and the hospitalization system after retirement, stressing that they will sue the managements that don’t implement all the provisions of the contract according to legal assets immediately after the month of filing collective contract in the Ministry of Labour.
