Egypt: Two public transport workers released with precautionary measures

Egypt – The Supreme State Security Prosecution released two public transport workers accused of instigating a strike. Yasser Saad, a member of the defendants defense, said the State Security Prosecution decided to release Mohammed Abdelkhaliq and Ayman Abdel Tawab with precautionary measures after being brought to investigation. Saad explained that precautionary measures are considered a punishment because the person cannot resume his normal life, noting that this is the first time they apply this precautionary measures policy when dealing with workers.
