Bahrain: No legal bases for dismissing convicts who have not completed all stages of litigation

Bahrain – The Assistant Secretary-General of the Bahraini General Federation of Trade Unions Karim Radhi said: The dismissal of convicts in cases that have not yet completed all the stages of litigation is illegal and constitutes a clear violation of the Labour Law and the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain and contrary to the directives of the leadership that emphasizes the state of institutions and law. Even in the case of final judgments, it is not permissible to adjudicate unless the judgment is in a felony or in a misdemeanor involving honesty and honor, not in any case.He called on employers, especially in companies that are under the umbrella of the government not to rush to dismiss workers.
