Bahrain – The Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning has removed more than 60 female trainees from the 1912 list of Tamkeens list of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development. While the trainees continued to work after the termination of their temporary contracts, the Ministry of Labour suspended their social insurance benefits, resulting in a recent protest against their dismissal near the Ministry of Municipal Affairs. The employees asked the Supreme Council for Women to intervene and look into their situation, and the intervention of the Minister of Works and Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning Essam Khalaf to implement the directives and accommodate them.
