Morocco: Nurses movement threatens protests and sit-ins

Morocco – Last Thursday security forces intervened to disperse the Nurses Movement for Equations protest outside the main entrance of the Ministry of Health Rabat, leaving behind various injuries in their ranks. As a result the movement is preparing for a wide strike in all hospitals in the kingdom, with the exception of the departments of resuscitation, resuscitation and delivery, this came  just days after the re-allocation Minister Al Hussein Al Wardi for the second consecutive term. Abdul Jabbar al-Karbazi, member of the National Council of the Nurses Movement for Equation said that the movement will also implement sit-ins and vigils against the implementation of the decision of the equivalent of the diplomas of the training institutes in the field of health with the diplomas of the state, so that the holders are authorized to pursue graduate studies in Master degree (LMD). He added that movement held a meeting and agreed to escalate in response to what he called the brutal and exaggerated intervention carried out by the security forces last Thursday, a few days before the inauguration of the new government, stressing that this security intervention will have negative consequences on the functioning of the work Hospital institutions
