Lebanon – A group of young men attacked a workshop in the Al-Dabtdar Square of 5 workers from the Municipality of Tripoli and beat up its workers.
While the workshop was repairing the lighting in the square, a worker asked a 15-year-old to move away from the workshop, but he refused. Then they chatted with him loudly. A group of young men sat in the cafe next to the workshop and beaten up the municipal workers with sticks.
A source confirms that the workers were beaten with knives, where two in are in a critical condition, and a detailed report on their condition will be issued in the next two days. The head of the municipal workers union, Hashem Abdullah, called for a solidarity stand in front of the municipality building on Saturday morning, April 29, in protest against what happened to the workers.
