Jordan – dozens of workers of the Arab company for the manufacture of aluminum Aral, and members of the General Union of workers in construction and timber stopped working in order to demand a number of labor and administrative rights.
Captain Mahmoud Al-Hayari said that the strike, which was carried out by approximately 300 workers was to demand their yearly incentives, to raise the financial rewards for the first ten years to become (2000) dinars and (150) dinars for each year after the first ten years, to raise the health insurance for the family to (1500) dinars instead of (900) dinars, and to raise the cost of living to (15) dinars.
Al-Hayari pointed out that the union had met with the management of the company earlier, but the board did not provide the full rights of the company’s workers, or to satisfy their demands, although it is not difficult for the company, where their demands are reasonable, and that the union hopes the management of the company will work to achieve their demands.
