Egypt: Alpha workers say theyre not been paid for months

Egypt- Workers of Alfa Metal Construction Company located on the 10th of Ramadan complained that their employer has not paid them their salaries and financial dues since last February.

The workers, during their stay in the union building until Wednesday evening, denounced the failure to provide raw materials for the operation of the company and not providing transportation for the employees they also said that the management disconnected the electricity from the factory. The workers demanded the Ministry of Manpower to intervene according to article 12 of the Egyptian Constitution, which states that work is a right, a duty and an honor guaranteed by the state. Workers confirmed that they resorted to the trade union organization and demanded them to take all the legal procedures necessary to meet their dues from the company.
