Egypt: Attempts to Resolve Workers Complaint in a Food Company

Egypt_ English_Xinhua Egypts Minister of Manpower, Mohammed Saffan, has asked the competent department of the ministry to investigate a complaint submitted by a group of workers at Hani Wail for food industries, who are affected by their dismissal from the company.

 

Undersecretary for Labor Welfare Mohammed Issa said that the complaint had been discussed with the companys management and that the employer had obtained judicial rulings approving the dismissal of the workers who filed the complaint.

 

He added that the ministry had negotiated with the owner of the company in an attempt to resolve the matter amicably, and it was agreed with the management of the company that these workers filed complaints from the decision to terminate their service, and the management will examine each case separately, and if proven efficiency of these workers, will be committed to work once again.

 

According to the companys management, only 3 workers, of 33 complainants, complained to the employer, despite efforts by the Ministry and the employer to try to settle the matter amicably.
